July Focus - Understanding Lung Cancer & Screening

Lung cancer is the fifth most common cancer diagnosed in Australia and the leading cause of cancer related deaths. In July 2025, the new National Lung Cancer Screening Program will be available to eligible people, aiming to detect lung cancer early and save hundreds of lives. This April, amid Anzac Day commemorations, we invited veterans and their families to share their experiences with the health care system in the ACT to help us understand any gaps and ways to improve health outcomes.

Endometriosis affects 1 in 7 women and is one of the most common chronic conditions in Australia. During Endometriosis Month, we asked the community to share their experiences with endometriosis care in the ACT and their suggestions for how it can be improved.
